The Safe Construction Bill of Rights (SCBR) must include:

• The type of work being conducted
• Services that will be unavailable or interrupted
• The hours of construction
• A projected timeline for the completion of the work
• Contact information for an employee of the owner
• Information about how to submit a complaint

The SCBR must be:

• Distributed to each tenant
• Posted in the lobby and on every floor within 10 feet of every elevator bank
• Posted in the lobby and within 10 feet of every main stairwell (in a building with no elevator)

You can report if a SCBR was not posted or distributed.

A Tenant Protection Plan (TPP) outlines what steps the contractor and your building owner will take to protect tenants during construction.

The TPP Notice is a sign that lets tenants know:

• A permit has been issued by the Department of Buildings (DOB)
• How to contact the person in control of the site
• How to obtain a copy of the TPP

The TPP Notice must be:

• Distributed to each tenant
• Posted in the lobby and on every floor within 10 feet of every elevator bank
• Posted in the lobby and within 10 feet of every main stairwell (in building with no elevator)
